Gardner Statement on T-Mobile and Sprint Merger

Washington, D.C. – Today U.S. Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO), a member of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, released the following statement regarding a federal judge’s ruling allowing the T-Mobile and Sprint merger to proceed:

“I’ve been championing support for this merger at the federal level because Colorado would be home to the nation’s next major wireless carrier – bringing thousands more jobs to our state. DISH is ready to build a nationwide network and I will continue to support a successful merger,” said Senator Gardner.

  • In October 2019, Gardner issued a statement in support of the Colorado Attorney General office’s announcement that it would support the T-Mobile and Sprint merger.
  • Gardner issued a statement in July 2019 praising the settlement by the Department of Justice with T-Mobile and Sprint in their proposed merger.

Cory Gardner is a member of the U.S. Senate serving Colorado. He sits on the Energy & Natural Resources Committee, the Foreign Relations Committee, the Commerce, Science, & Transportation Committee, and is the Chairman of the Subcommittee on East Asia, the Pacific, and International Cybersecurity Policy.
